WeGov will be presented at CrowdSens 2012, in October 2012
In collaboration with IBM Haifa and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, WeGov partner KMi organizes the 1st International Workshop on Multimodal Crowd Sensing (CrowdSens 2012), held in conjunction with the 21st ACM International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM 2012), October 29 to November 2, 2012, Maui, Hawaii, USA.
CIKM is a well-known top tier and premier ACM conference in the areas of information retrieval, knowledge management and database. Since 1992, it has successfully brought together leading researchers and developers from the three communities. The purpose of the conference is to identify challenging problems facing the development of future knowledge and information systems, and to shape future research directions through the publication of high quality, applied and theoretical research findings.
In the framework of fostering collaboration among multiple areas, KMi organizes the 1st International Workshop on Multimodal Crowd Sensing (CrowdSens 2012). This workshop aims to provide an open forum for researchers from various domains such as data management, data mining, information retrieval, and semantic web, for discussing the above challenges.
WeGov SNS analysis and results will be presented and discussed in CrowdSens 2012, as an effort towards the sustainability of the project after its end. WeGov recognizes this as a great opportunity to network with members of the academic community from all over the world and raise awareness about the project.
More information about the workshop’s date, venue and agenda will be announced in due time.
