|WeGov expanding in the social media world - LinkedIn!|
WeGov has already taken advantage of social media to foster knowledge sharing, connect with an even larger group of stakeholders and broaden its network. WeGov made its social media debut in April 2010, using the most widely known platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. A few months later WeGov joint the Slideshare network so as to disseminate the project’s power point presentation, and other dissemination/ marketing materials of importance and relevance.
WeGov continues its efforts in social media engagement. In April 2012, WeGov joined the world's largest professional network – LinkedIn! Over 150 million professionals use LinkedIn to exchange information, ideas and opportunities, access knowledge, insights and information. LinkedIn offers a great opportunity for WeGov to liaise with stakeholders and affiliated LinkedIn discussion groups. At the same time it offers an excellent opportunity to manage better the project’s identity and establish a coherent and popular image as well as to build and engage with different networks!
