WeGov announces its participation in ePart 2011 in August 2011

WeGov Consortium partner University of Southampton (UoS) – IT Innovation Centre (ITInn) will participate in the third international conference on eParticipation (ePart 2011), on 29 August - 1 September 2011, in Delft, The Netherlands. The conference covers social and technical research advances in the field of eParticipation and has a wide scope, covering the design and implementation of specific eParticipation exercises and new technologies for eParticipation, as well as comparatively analyses of eParticipation practice and underlying research methods.

As with the previous ePart Conferences, the IFIP WG 8.5 group will once again organize the International ePart Conference 2011. As always, ePart will be co-located with EGOV, the IFIP e-government conference 2011 thus, providing additional benefits to participants.

WeGov will present a research paper with the title SNS-Based eParticipation and Cloud Computing - A Consideration of the Issues Raised, as well as an analysis of the legal and ethical issues inherent in the use of third-party cloud computing to support eParticipation activity. The presentation will take place under the conference section Innovative Technologies on Wednesday, 31st of August 2011.
